With each new announcement for the Compilation of FFVII, I've noticed something of a pattern emerging. Witness (in the order that they were announced):
Advent Children = AC
Before Crisis = BC
Dirge of Cerberus = DC
Crisis Core = CC
Take off the "C"s that make up the second letter of each acronym, and we have A, B, C, and D. However, the fun doesn't stop there.
Recently on the Forums, Mum posted something even more interesting which he stumbled upon while visiting Adventchildren.net's own messageboard. Upon arranging the titles of each project in order chronological to game time, we have the following:
Before Crisis (6 years prior to FFVII)
Crisis Core (after Before Crisis, before FFVII)
- Final Fantasy VII -
Advent Children (2 years after FFVII)
Dirge of Cerberus (3 years after FFVII)
Do you see the pattern? Before Crisis and Crisis Core is "BC", while Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus is "AD". Of course, this clever choice of acronyms is a reference to the Christian calendar, where BC is short for "Before Christ" and AD stands for "Anno Domini".
Thanks goes out to Mum for contributing this startling observation!
