The Turks (playable)

	Male character A* An ex-gang leader who decides to become a Turk after Reno catches him sneaking into the Shinra Building. His main weapon is a rod/nightstick.
	Female character A* One of the Shinra military academy's top graduates. Her main weapon is a gun.

The Turks (non-playable)

	Veld* The leader of the Turks, who acts as a sort of mentor to Tseng. He oversees many of the Player's missions, calling in for reports and giving orders.
	Tseng Reserved and professional, this Turk looks up to Veld. He appears to be the second in command of the Turks; like Veld, he is one of the characters who doles out missions to the player.
	Reno This nightstick-wielding redhead is the first Turk the player works alongside. Despite his casual demeanor and sloppy manner of dress, he's a strong fighter who gets the job done.
	Rude This top member of the Turks is an introvert who doesn't seem to get along with Reno at first, though this changes over time.

Shinra

	President Shinra The founder and president of the Shinra Electric Power Company, and AVALANCHE's top enemy.
	Rufus The son of President Shinra and Vice-President of the Shinra Electric Power Company, Rufus is somehow connected to the Turks.
	Sephiroth The leader of SOLDIER, Shinra's elite fighting force.
No image available	Doctor Laylee* A Shinra scientist who carries some important data on SOLDIER during one mission.
	Cloud A member of the Shinra military who aspires to join SOLDIER. The player first meets him during the mission to protect Doctor Laylee.
	Reeve An executive in Shinra's Urban Development division.
	Heidegger (more info coming soon!)
	Professor Hojo A top scientist at Shinra who is involved with the SOLDIER program and Sephiroth.
	Zack A First-Class SOLDIER.

	Sears* The leader of AVALANCHE's militant faction.
	Fuhito* Takes care of intelligence matters within AVALANCHE.
	Elfe* The overall leader of AVALANCHE.

	Aeris The last of the Ancients, who has long been pursued by the Turks, Tseng in particular.
	Yuffie The preteen daughter of Wutai's leader, Lord Godo.
